Active Use and Call Time

The Xiaomi Mix Flip achieved an 11:58h score in our Active Use test. This result is lower than that of the Oppo Find N3 Flip and the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, which boast similar or slightly smaller battery capacities. Additionally, the Mix Flip’s 21:20h call time is rather unimpressive when compared to a couple of competitors but does look somewhat acceptable when put next to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6.

Web and Media Performance

The Xiaomi Mix Flip was a top performer on Web tests, besting the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 on a much smaller battery. However, video playback and gaming scores put it a distance behind the Oppo Find N3 Flip and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, so while it comes to the table with many skills, there’s a lot of room for more growth.

Comparison to Competitors

  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6: Utilizes the identical chipset as Mix Flip, comes fitted with a smaller battery of 4,000 mAh, and performs better in call time and video playback than worse in active use.
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5: Still manages to best the Mix Flip in call time, even though it comes with a smaller-capacity cell (3,700 mAh) compared to the competition.
  • Motorola Razr 50 Ultra: The performance from the Razr 50 Ultra is relatively competitive because it sports similar battery capacity and strong performance in terms of video and gaming but just slightly lower active use time than the Mix Flip.
  • Oppo Find N3 Flip: The Find N3 Flip leads in all categories, having superior performance in web browsing, video playback, and gaming, likely due to the larger 4,300 mAh battery.

Conclusion

The battery on the Xiaomi Mix Flip is good and performs well enough in most common use-case scenarios. It excels in webbing but loses to some key rivals on video playing and gaming tests. Naturally, battery life will vary depending on individual usage patterns; thus, our findings reflect general tendencies only.
