With the Xiaomi 14 Ultra launch just days away, the company has shared more details about the highly anticipated camera system.
According to official teasers, the main 50MP camera will use a large Sony LYT-900 sensor with an f/1.63-f/4.0 variable aperture. Xiaomi boasts this enables a massive 136% increase in light intake versus the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
The telephoto setup comprises two 50MP sensors – the Sony IMX858. One offers a 75mm lens with 3.2x optical zoom, while the other has a 120mm 5x optical periscope zoom. A 50MP ultrawide camera rounds out the quad setup.
Xiaomi also showcased sample images taken with the 14 Ultra’s cameras. At first glance, the photos look quite impressive with excellent detail and dynamic range. But we’ll wait for hands-on reviews to see how it competes with other flagships.
