Well, what do we have here? The upcoming vivo V30 Pro was recently spotted benchmarking on Geekbench, revealing it will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset.

This flagship sibling joins the vivo V30 and V30 Lite which launched earlier, packing a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 695 respectively. But the Pro model looks set to top them on performance judging by this leak.

Based on variants of this Dimensity silicon, we can expect solid speeds and efficiency. However, earlier rumors suggested the V30 Pro was a rebranded vivo S18 Pro phone for China running the flagship Dimensity 9200+ instead. This would be a step-down, albeit a still speedy one.

In Geekbench, the V30 Pro posted single and multi-core scores aligning with expectations for the Dimensity 8200 muscle. Paired with 12GB RAM and Android 14 software as well.

Of course, it’s likely the V30 Pro differs from the S18 Pro beyond just processors. We already saw divergences between standard V30 and S18 models on specs like camera hardware. Guess we’ll have to wait for an official launch to learn the full V30 Pro details!

But with certifications and now benchmarks emerging, vivo seems to be finalizing this Dimensity 8200-powered flagship for launch in the coming months. A worthy successor to last year’s V series? We shall see!
