Vivo is planning to unveil two new book-style foldable phones – the X Fold3 and X Fold3 Pro – by the end of the first quarter of 2024, according to a noted leaker.
Both models have already received certifications in China. The leaker claims the new X Fold3 series will bring several upgrades over the previous X Fold2, including higher resolution displays, larger batteries, upgraded 50MP camera sensors, and lighter-weight designs.
The more advanced X Fold3 Pro model will reportedly feature a periscope lens for the telephoto camera, 50W wireless charging, and an under-display fingerprint scanner.

Offering a Pro variant alongside a standard model is rare among foldable phones but common with traditional flagships. The standard X Fold3 may see some features removed to reach a lower price point.
More options are good news for consumers, but Vivo’s foldables remain restricted to China for now. So the impact globally may be limited.
The leaks have revealed Vivo’s ambition for its next generation of foldables. More details are likely to emerge as the expected launch before the end of Q1 approaches.
