Vivo has officially launched the iQOO Z9 Lite, a midrange smartphone powered by the Dimensity 6300 SoC. While this might seem like a new addition to Vivo’s lineup, it’s actually a rebranded version of the previously released Vivo T3 Lite and Vivo Y28s.
Vivo iQOO Z9 Lite Specifications and Features
The iQOO Z9 Lite features a 6.56-inch LCD display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and an HD+ resolution. An 8 MP selfie camera is housed in a waterdrop notch at the front, while the rear boasts a 50 MP main camera with PDAF and a 2 MP depth sensor.
The phone runs on Funtouch OS 14, based on Android 14, and is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 15W wired charging.
Availability and Pricing
The iQOO Z9 Lite is set to be available in Aqua Flow and Mocha Brown color options. It comes with 128 GB of storage and offers two RAM variants: 4 GB and 6 GB. The pricing is as follows:
- 4 GB RAM: INR 10,499 ($125/€120/₦202,480)
- 6 GB RAM: INR 11,499 ($140/€130/₦226777.60)
Sales will commence on July 20, with the iQOO Z9 Lite being sold exclusively through Amazon India and the iQOO India online store.
Market Position
Interestingly, the iQOO Z9 Lite’s launch in India adds another variant to an already crowded market where its twin models, the Vivo T3 Lite and Vivo Y28s, are also available. The key difference lies in its exclusive availability through Amazon, potentially targeting a specific segment of online shoppers.
In summary, the iQOO Z9 Lite brings a familiar set of features to the midrange segment under a new name, offering consumers multiple purchasing options within the Vivo family.
