According to a source familiar with the matter and close to Reuters, Spotify is preparing to launch a more expensive subscription plan soon. Although there have been rumors about a pricier tier for some time, the new report suggests that Spotify is close to making it a reality.
Features of the New Spotify Plan
The upcoming subscription plan will feature:
- HiFi Audio Streaming
- Advanced Tools for Creating and Managing Playlists
- Enhanced Song Library Management
The plan is expected to cost around $5 more on average, depending on the region, which translates to about a 40% price increase in most areas.
Recent Price Adjustments
Recently, they increased its subscription prices in the US by $1 for the single plan. The Duo plan saw a $2 increase, while the family package went up by $3. These adjustments were made to boost the company’s profit margin.
