At the InfoComm 2024 exhibition, Samsung has unveiled SmartThings Pro, an enterprise version of its smart home platform designed for B2B (business-to-business) solutions. This innovative platform aims to provide an integrated management system for connected devices in various settings, including offices, stores, and hotels.

The goal of SmartThings Pro is to offer a unified management platform for connected devices across different environments. This includes controlling TVs in hotel rooms, lighting in offices, smart signage in stores, various appliances, air conditioning, and more.
Key Features of Samsung SmartThings Pro
- Dashboard Control: A comprehensive dashboard will provide monitoring and control over all connected devices, allowing for efficient management.
- AI-Based Management: The platform will enable AI-driven management to analyze usage patterns and reduce power bills.
- Multi-Location Support: Businesses can monitor and control devices across multiple stores or locations, with the option to construct interactive floor plans for better intuitiveness.
- Integration with Other Products: The Control Hub will be integrated into products like Cisco’s video conferencing systems and smart hotel products from Aquara.
- Collaborations and Expansions: Samsung is collaborating with other companies to enhance the platform’s functionality. For instance, Quividi is developing a cloud-based platform for customer data analysis, and a dedicated API will allow more corporate customers to join.
Global Rollout and Future Developments
SmartThings Pro will be gradually rolled out to global markets, including North America and South Korea. Park Chan-woo, Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ B2B Solutions Team, stated, “We will further develop Samsung Electronics’ IoT solutions for the B2B market through SmartThings Pro. We will provide customized solutions optimized for everything from residential and commercial spaces to public facilities such as schools.”
