Have you felt like your shiny new Galaxy S24’s screen seems a bit dull and lifeless? Well, Samsung is pushing out an update this month to address lackluster display complaints from users.
The update will add a handy “Vividness” slider to the Display settings menu on the S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra.
Crank Up the Color
This new slider will let you manually increase the vibrancy and punch of the colors. Samsung says they tuned the default screen mode to be more natural, but are giving users the option to amp up the vividness to their liking.
So if you want that visually striking, highly saturated Super AMOLED look, just slide that Vividness to max! Should make your games, videos, and photos really pop.

Camera Upgrades Too
The update also vaguely mentions “optimizations” to the S24 series’ camera capabilities. Specifically:
- Improved zoom
- Better Portrait Mode
- Enhanced night photography
- Upgraded video recording
Sadly no specifics on what’s changing, but any camera tweaks are welcome!
Rollout Details
The update is set to hit S24 devices before the end of February. We’ll be sure to download it right away and see just how vivid we can push that screen!
Let me know if you’ve gotten the update and what settings you’re using for the display. I’m hoping this will appease S24 owners unhappy with the dull default calibration.
