Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy Tab S10 series did not debut alongside the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 at the company’s recent Unpacked event. However, the new tablets are still on track for release this year, and production plans have now surfaced to support that timeline.
October Launch Rumors Confirmed
Last week, rumors suggested that the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup would launch in October. These reports have gained more credibility today with fresh information indicating that production for the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra models is scheduled to begin in August.
Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, confirmed on Twitter that the production of the Galaxy Tab S10+ and S10 Ultra will commence next month, aligning with the anticipated October launch window.
Color Options and Model Details
The Tab S10 series will be available in Gray and Silver, marking a departure from the vibrant color options seen in Samsung’s recent foldable devices. Notably, there is no mention of a ‘vanilla’ Galaxy Tab S10 model, confirming earlier speculation that Samsung will only release the Plus and Ultra variants this year.
Performance and Chipset
Both the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra are rumored to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ SoC. This chipset choice sets the stage for a performance comparison with competitors like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 found in the OnePlus Pad 2.
