The Samsung Galaxy Ring pairs over Bluetooth LE 5.4 and requires a smartphone running Android 11 or later, along with the Samsung Health app. No additional subscriptions are needed to access health and activity data.

It supports pinch gesture controls, allowing users to control their Samsung Galaxy smartphones, take photos, or dismiss alarms by pinching their thumb and index fingers. The ring is compatible with Samsung Find and can flash its built-in LED lights when misplaced.

The Samsung Galaxy Ring tracks various health metrics, including heart rate via its optical PPG sensor and skin temperature. It excels in sleep tracking, offering features like an active sleep score, snoring analysis, and metrics such as movement during sleep, sleep latency, heart rate, and respiratory rate.
