Samsung France recently shared the official repairability scores for the upcoming Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 phones, ahead of their rumored launches.
Repairability Scores in France
Since 2020, France has required electronics companies to provide a “repairability rating” out of 10 for new devices sold in the country. This rating is based on several categories:
- Availability of spare parts
- Access to repair documentation
- Disassembly tools required
- Pricing of spare parts
Each category has a weighted coefficient that factors into the final score.

Galaxy A55 Score
The Samsung Galaxy A55 earned an 8.5 out of 10 repairability score from Samsung. This is a slight improvement over last year’s Galaxy A54, which scored 8.3 out of 10.

Galaxy A35 Score
The Samsung Galaxy A35 received a repairability score of 8.4 out of 10. This is marginally higher than its predecessor’s score.

Interestingly, the A35 scored lower on disassembly compared to its previous model.
Rumored Specs
The Galaxy A55 is expected to feature an Exynos 1480 chipset, a 6.5″ OLED 120Hz display, a 50MP camera, and 25W fast charging. The Galaxy A35 is rumored to have an Exynos 1380 chip, a 6.6″ 120Hz screen, and a 5000 mAh battery with 25W charging.
Samsung has not yet confirmed launch details, but various leaks suggest both phones could launch soon.
