The Red Magic 9S Pro and 9S Pro+ have been unveiled, boasting an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and enhanced cooling systems. These gaming smartphones are set to raise the bar with their advanced features and performance.
Superior Performance and Cooling
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version chipset powers both models, with its prime CPU core running at 3.4GHz and the GPU boosted to 1GHz. The revamped ICE 13.5 cooling system, featuring a 10,182mm² vapor chamber and new cooling gel, reduces thermal resistance. Combined with a 22,000 RPM active cooling fan, this system can lower chipset temperatures by up to 19.5°C. The 9S Pro has achieved an impressive AnTuTu score of 2,369,542 points, the highest for any Android device to date.
Red Magic 9S Pro and 9S Pro+ Battery and Charging
The Red Magic 9S Pro and 9S Pro+ offer different battery capacities and charging speeds. The 9S Pro comes with a 6,500mAh battery supporting 80W charging, which can achieve a full charge in just 35 minutes. Meanwhile, the 9S Pro+ features a 5,500mAh battery with 165W charging, reaching 100% in just 16 minutes. Both models offer a bypass mode to run directly off external power, reducing heat and battery wear.
Cutting-Edge Display
Both models feature a 6.8-inch flat OLED display (BOE Q9+), with a resolution of 1,116 x 2,480 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen boasts an instant touch sampling rate of 2,000Hz and includes 520Hz shoulder triggers with an updated backlight design. The 16MP front camera is integrated under the display, ensuring an uninterrupted gaming experience.
Enhanced Connectivity and Audio
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, USB-C 3.2, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. For audio, the dual speakers are certified with DTS:X Ultra, providing an enhanced sound experience.
Camera Capabilities
The rear camera setup remains unchanged, featuring a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. Both cameras are flush with the back, maintaining a sleek design.
AI and Software Features
Running on Red Magic 9.5 OS, these smartphones come equipped with various AI enhancements. These include Smart Navigator, AI Trigger, Sound Recognition for games, image enlargement, wallpaper generation, a writing assistant, and more.

The Red Magic 9S Pro is available with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. The 9S Pro+ offers 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, with a special edition featuring 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, priced at CNY 7,000. Color options include Dark Knight, White Knight, Silver Deuterium, and Transparent versions.
