An unknown Realme phone has surfaced on Geekbench running a mysterious new Snapdragon 8-series processor. The device carries model number RMX3851 and packs the SM8635 chipset.
This SoC was recently teased by a Chinese tipster as an upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Lite or Snapdragon 8s Gen 2. It will allegedly slot between the SD8 Gen 3 and SD8 Gen 2 in performance.
The leaked benchmarks reinforce the SM8635 specs. It has a 1x Cortex-X4 core at 3.01GHz, four cores at 2.61GHz, and three efficiency cores at 1.84GHz. Graphics are handled by an Adreno 735 GPU.
The Realme device runs Android 14 out of the box with 16GB RAM based on the listing. However, scores are likely not finalized yet.

While the mysterious Realme phone remains unannounced for now, its appearance reveals Qualcomm does have a new premium chipset in the pipeline. The SM8635 could strike a balance between power and efficiency. More details are sure to emerge soon.
