Realme has officially confirmed a March 6 debut in India for the upcoming Realme 12+ 5G smartphone, after initially teasing the device’s arrival last week. The company also revealed more details about the 12+ 5G’s camera capabilities headlined by a Sony imaging sensor.
Specifically, Realme touts the inclusion of Sony’s LYT600 sensor with optical image stabilization and 2x in-sensor zoom. A custom Snap Portrait system is also touted for optimizing capture speed, enabling bursts of up to 208 photos per minute.
Beyond the camera, Realme shared the 12+ 5G will carry an IP54 water and dust resistance rating thanks to a Rainwater Smart Touch display coating for improved wet hand operability.
While full specifications remain unannounced, a recent Malaysian retailer listing points to a Dimensity 750 processor, 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen, and large 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging. The quad camera array is rumored to consist of a 50MP main cam alongside 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 16MP selfie modules.
