Key details about Realme’s upcoming 12+ 5G phone have surfaced thanks to a recent Geekbench appearance. The benchmark gave insight into both chipset and software specifics.
Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 7050
The Dimensity 7050 platform powers the 12+ 5G, the same as last year’s Realme 11 Pro+ 5G. This positions the 12+ as more of an incremental upgrade than a generational leap. While the aging chip may feel underpowered on pricier phones, it should sufficiently deliver on performance expectations given Realme’s typically affordable pricing.
Software: Android 14 / Realme UI 5.0
Out of the box, consumers can expect the 12+ 5G to launch with Android 14 complemented by Realme’s own Realme UI 5.0 customizations.

Realme 12+ 5G Performance Results
In Geekbench testing, the Realme 12+ 5G posted scores of 958 for single-core and 2,346 for multi-core performance. These figures match identically to the Oppo Reno 10 running the same Dimensity 7050 silicon. So the hardware and software optimization appear closely aligned.
While not bleeding edge, the Dimensity 7050 still handles everyday tasks admirably while enabling 5G connectivity at lower price points. And for cost-conscious shoppers, delivering the basics reliably still carries appeal. Expect to hear pricing details soon as the Realme 12+ 5G’s launch nears.
