Remember that Polestar phone concept we got a first glimpse of back in November? The one slated to work seamlessly with Polestar’s line of sleek electric rides – it’s still happening, folks! I know things had been pretty hush-hush since the initial announcement. But the Polestar Phone just made an appearance on Google Play’s supported devices list. Strong sign that an actual launch could be rolling our way soon!
For those who missed it, Polestar showcased this bad boy at their #PolestarDay event a few months ago. Rocking a metal frame and triple rear camera setup inspired by the Meizu 20, by the looks of it. Main 23mm lens, plus a 70mm telephoto and 15mm ultrawide. Should capture some gorgeous shots to remember your road trips by! Specs also include the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen chip and “Polestar OS” optimized for their ecosystem.
And in case you’re noticing more automakers expanding into smartphones lately, you ain’t seeing things! Our sis site ArenaEV put together a great analysis explaining why brands like Nio and Polestar want a piece of that mobile market pie to complement their electric lineups.
