While the company previously denied rumors of abandoning the foldable market altogether, the latest information suggests that the highly anticipated Oppo Find N5 Flip has been canceled.

The decision to cancel the Find N5 Flip, which was expected to succeed the Find N3 Flip launched last year, raises eyebrows within the foldable enthusiast community. Xiaomi and Vivo’s Foldable Strategies

The report also sheds light on the foldable strategies of Oppo’s sister companies, Xiaomi and vivo. According to the information, Xiaomi’s Mix Fold 4 is expected to receive a global launch, marking the first time a Xiaomi foldable will be available internationally.

On the flip side, Xiaomi’s first flip-style foldable, the Mix Flip, will remain confined to the Chinese market. Similarly, Vivo’s X Fold3 is rumored to go global, while the X Flip2 will be limited to the Chinese market.

The apparent reluctance of Oppo, Xiaomi, and vivo to introduce their flip-style foldables globally is noteworthy, as it allows Samsung to maintain its dominance in the international market for this form factor.
