OnePlus is gearing up to unveil its next-gen smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch 2, next Sunday, February 26th. And thanks to a recent FCC certification appearance, a key detail around battery specs has now surfaced – it will pack a mammoth 500 mAh capacity.
This cell dwarfs the 402 mAh battery inside the original OnePlus Watch. For comparison, even the largest Galaxy Watch6 size tops out at 425 mAh, while only Samsung’s niche Galaxy Watch5 Pro model matches the OnePlus Watch 2’s endurance at 590 mAh.
Simply put, with such sizable reserves on board, multi-day battery life looks easily achievable on the Watch 2 without nightly charging required. FCC documents also confirm respectable 10W fast charging abilities to quickly replenish the cell when needed.
