Nothing has begun generating buzz for its next smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2a). The company announced it will officially reveal the Phone (2a) at a launch event titled “Fresh Eyes” on Tuesday, March 5th.
Nothing Phone (2a): What We Know
Little is confirmed about the Phone (2a) so far, but Nothing claims:
- More affordable than Phone (2) flagship
- “Clear upgrade” over the previous Phone (1)
- Borrows certain elements from Phone (2) design
The teaser image features eye shapes arranged similarly to the leaked rear camera layout. So the Phone (2a) may reuse this dual-camera configuration.
The phone is codenamed “Aerodactyl” and is expected to target more budget-focused price tiers.
Building on Glyph Experience
The announcement follows Nothing’s launching its new Glyph developer kit allowing custom lighting integrations with the LED strips on its phones. Features like Glyph may provide unique differentiation for the Phone (2a) in affordable segments.
With its March 5th event on the calendar, Nothing seems poised to continue expanding access to its Glyph ecosystem to new users via this next phone release.
