The fate of the affordable iPhone SE line has been uncertain with conflicting reports recently. But a new rumor claims the next iPhone SE will adopt one of the iPhone 14 Pro’s signature features – the Dynamic Island cutout.

Earlier rumors pointed to an iPhone XR-style design and possibly a notched display. But the latest leak shows the iPhone SE 4 with the pill-shaped interactive Dynamic Island housing the front camera and Face ID sensors instead.

The rendered images depict the iPhone SE sticking to a single rear camera while moving to Apple’s modern overall iPhone aesthetic. In fact, the next SE may share design similarities with the upcoming iPhone 16 series. Its dimensions are expected to closely match those of the iPhone XR.

Of course, even the source urges taking this all with a grain of salt for now. With no solid leaks around a 2023 iPhone SE model which would follow Apple’s two-year update cadence, it’s reasonable to speculate the next SE could slip to 2025 after the iPhone 16 launches.

If accurate, this would represent Apple bringing key recent innovations like the Dynamic Island down to its most affordable iPhone tier. But we’ll have to wait for further leaks to materialize to know if lower-cost models can really emulate their flagship siblings’ features.
