Adoption and Reach of the Ad-Supported Plan

The ad-supported plan has gained significant traction, amassing 40 million subscribers even though it isn’t available in all markets. This plan is now listed in several major regions, including the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, France, and Australia, where the Basic plan is no longer an option.

Content Limitations and Ad-Free Features

For those opting for the ad-supported tier, be aware that some shows and movies may not be available due to licensing agreements. However, Kids’ profiles and Netflix Games remain ad-free.

Conclusion

With the discontinuation of the Basic ad-free plan, Netflix is encouraging users to consider its ad-supported tier or higher-tier ad-free plans. This move aligns with the platform’s strategy to diversify its subscriber base while offering varied price points to suit different preferences.
