Microsoft has revealed three new versions of its current generation Xbox consoles during the Xbox Games Showcase 2024 event, including two new Series X models and a new Series S variant.
The first is the Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition, which is essentially the existing Series X with 2TB of storage instead of the usual 1TB. This console features a speckled pattern with silver, gray, and green spots and a bright green base. The controller also has a green back and a speckled D-pad. Priced at $600, this variant will be available in limited quantities in select markets.
Next is the Xbox Series X 1TB Digital Edition, a variant of the existing Series X without an optical drive, meaning games and movies can only be accessed digitally. This model comes in white and will retail for $450 in select markets.
Lastly, Microsoft announced a white variant of the black 1TB Series S, which was introduced nearly a year ago. This new model is identical to the black version but in white and will be available at the same $350 price. Microsoft indicates that the black model will be available while supplies last, suggesting it has been discontinued.
Console Model | Features | Price | Availability |
---|---|---|---|
Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Black SE | 2TB storage, speckled pattern, green accents | $600 | Limited quantities |
Xbox Series X 1TB Digital Edition | No optical drive, white color | $450 | Select markets |
