Asus may soon deviate from its rigid smartphone release schedule with an unprecedented Zenfone 11 Ultra model. Extensive leaks uncovered in the wild point to a larger premium flagship variant beyond Asus’ typical compact Zenfone series.
Rather than producing a scaled-up ROG Phone gaming handset, renders show Asus adopting a more refined, mainstream design for this Ultra debut. It could indicate a play for more general flagship buyers turned off by ROG’s gaming aesthetic.
Familiar High-End Hardware
Interestingly, the spec sheet confirms the 11 Ultra essentially shares the same top-tier hardware as the ROG Phone 8 series underneath its glossy exterior.
It packs the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 16GB of RAM, 50MP triple camera system, and a large 5,500mAh battery with 65W charging. The only wrinkle is a 144Hz display instead of the ROG phone’s 165Hz panel.

So while segments of Asus’ product lines may converge here, performance promises to remain uncompromised. Early pricing hints position the Zenfone 11 Ultra as a more mass-market option to deliver this familiar high-end hardware.
