The affordable smartphone maker Infinix has officially launched its latest budget offering, the Hot 40i, for the Indian market. This follows the original Hot 40 series announcement back in December.
Stepping in as the successor to the Hot 30i, the new 40i packs some solid specs for a low price point. Highlights include a 50MP main rear camera, 90Hz display, large 6.6-inch screen, and generous 256GB storage.
Under the hood, the 40i is powered by a Unisoc T606 chipset with 8GB RAM (plus 8GB virtual RAM). It has a beefy 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging and runs Android 13 out of the box.
On the design front, Infinix equipped the Hot 40i with a side fingerprint scanner and IP53 rating for basic dust and water resistance. There’s also a 32MP selfie camera packed into the notch.

Pricing is set at INR 9,999 (around $120) normally but the 40i will launch at a special price of INR 8,999 ($110) during the Flipkart sale. Color options include Black, Blue, Gold, and Green.
Overall, the new Hot 40i brings some impressive specs and photography power at a wallet-friendly price point. Infinix seems aimed to shake up the low-end market in India and give buyers more value for their money.
