With its global launch imminent, Honor is hyping the photographic capabilities of its new Magic6 Pro flagship – particularly for fast-action sports shooting. To demonstrate, they enlisted an ideal athletic partner in French Olympic fencer Cecilia Berder.
The company boasts that the Magic6 Pro’s AI-powered “Falcon Camera” system can flawlessly capture the lighting-quick movements of competitive fencing by detecting motion and snapping multiple frames in succession for the user to select the perfect shot afterward.

Backing these claims, Honor highlights both a high-resolution 50MP main sensor and a large 1/1.3″ sensor size to enable faster shutter speeds and better low light sensitivity – critical for freezing high-velocity subjects without blurring. Meanwhile, a periscope-style 180MP telephoto camera brings 5x optical zoom for tighter comps without loss of quality.
While we’ll withhold judgment until conducting full testing, there’s little doubt the Magic6 Pro touts drool-worthy imaging specs. Early samples make a convincing case for its sports photography talent – at least under controlled conditions with a world-class athlete demonstrating.
Beyond still images, Honor also equipped the Magic6 Pro to shoot up to 4320p video at 60fps across its full focal range. So it packs serious hybrid shooting versatility aided by intelligent AI.
We’ll know soon how well these ostentatious camera capabilities hold up to scrutiny in Barcelona, where Honor prepares to unveil this “Falcon Camera” system globally alongside other Magic6 Pro variants.
