The midrange Honor Pad 9 tablet, originally launched in China in December 2022, has made its way to the UK and Ireland. Priced at £300 for the 8/256GB model in Space Gray, the slate aims to deliver solid performance and display quality at an attractive price point.
Specs and Features
The Honor Pad 9 Tablet 12.1-inch IPS display stands out with its sharp 2,560×1,600 pixel resolution and smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The screen reaches 500 nits brightness and works with stylus input, although the pen will be sold separately starting in April.
Powering the tablet is a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip, which promises responsive performance for everyday tasks and media consumption. There’s an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls, while around the back you’ll find a 13MP main camera.
Battery life is a strength of the Pad 9 thanks to its large 8,300 mAh capacity. Plus, 35W fast charging allows for quick top-ups when needed.
On the software side, Honor’s MagicOS 7.2 (based on Android 13) handles the user experience. Disappointingly, only one Android OS update is promised.

With its fast display, long battery life, and quality build, the Honor Pad 9 makes for a compelling midrange tablet option. The lack of OS support may limit its lifespan however.
