Honor 200 Lite was the first device to launch in the series, and we recently had the chance to spend some time with it following the global launch event in Paris. Our initial experience with the device highlights its lightweight and sleek design, making it a compelling option in the mid-range segment.
Honor 200 Lite Design and Build
Lightweight and Slim Profile
At just 166 grams, the Honor 200 Lite is noticeably lighter than the other two members of the 200 series. It also boasts a slim profile at 6.8mm, contributing to its comfortable and easy-to-handle design.
Color and Finish
We had the Cyan Lake variant, which shifts between blue and green depending on the light. This color, combined with the matte texture, enhances grip and adds a touch of sophistication to the device.
Front-Facing LED Flash
A unique feature is the front-facing LED flash housed within the pill-shaped cutout, alongside a 50MP selfie camera. This ensures well-lit selfies even in low-light conditions.
Honor 200 Lite Display
AMOLED Brilliance
The 6.7-inch AMOLED display offers an FHD+ resolution with a 90Hz refresh rate and up to 2,000 nits max brightness, providing vibrant and smooth visuals. Additionally, the display supports 3,240Hz PWM dimming, a common feature in Honor devices that helps reduce eye strain.
Honor 200 Lite Camera System
Triple Camera Setup
The rear camera setup includes:
- 108MP Main Camera: Captures detailed and sharp images.
- 5MP Ultrawide Lens: Perfect for landscape and group shots.
- 2MP Macro Camera: For close-up photography.
Performance
Powerful Internals
Under the hood, the Honor 200 Lite is powered by the Dimensity 6080 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. This combination ensures smooth performance for everyday tasks and multitasking.
Battery and Charging
The device packs a 4,500 mAh battery with 35W charging support, which should offer decent battery life and quick top-ups.
Pricing and Availability
The Honor 200 Lite is priced at €329 and is available from Honor’s official website and partnering retailers.
Conclusion
The Honor 200 Lite stands out with its lightweight design, impressive display, and robust camera system. Priced competitively, it offers a solid option for those seeking a mid-range smartphone with a premium feel.
