OpenAI has launched a free version of its ChatGPT app for macOS. Previously exclusive to ChatGPT Plus users since last month, the app is now accessible to all macOS 14+ devices with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer).

Users can easily summon ChatGPT from any screen by pressing the Option + Space keys. The app’s user interface closely resembles the web version, providing a seamless transition for users familiar with the online platform. Key features include:
