The specific testing methodology involved precisely charging and discharging devices 1,000 times to simulate real-world usage patterns. Of course, actual battery wear can vary substantially depending on an individual user’s charging habits and frequency of use.

Additionally, Apple says it is retroactively investigating older iPhone models to quantify how their batteries compare to the impressive longevity of the iPhone 15 range.
