“Some users have reported being unable to use Android Auto to connect their Galaxy S24 to their Volkswagen, Skoda or SEAT cars. Try the steps below. If none resolve it, contact your manufacturer’s customer support as they are working on software updates.”

Suggested steps include trying different USB cables, checking for settings blocking Auto, and updating the app.

Volkswagen’s issues reportedly stem from changes Google made to hotspot IP addresses since Android 11, which weren’t accounted for.

Owners of affected vehicles must await over-the-air updates from their manufacturer before Android Auto will function properly with the Galaxy S24.
